Player Status Screen
Been a productive weekend so far. The last 24 hours has seen the following developments:
* Completion of the Character Generation screen.
* Implementation of a working Event Log.
* Continued work on the player attribute system framework.
* Began work on the Player Status Screen (see screenshot), which I plan to use to show Attributes, view and change currently equipped items, as well as the place where players can view their current game progress (i.e. Quest tracker).
Speaking of the Quest tracker, it is not my intention to have the entire list visible from the onset of the game, despite the screenshot. I know I have to use flags to track quest progression and I plan on hooking those flags to this Quest tracker so that only the current quest and completed quests are shown. So if the player has yet to kill a Lich, the quest tracker will only show the completion of the quests up to the Lich as well as the Lich as an uncompleted quest (no red X).
On the public relations side of things, I have officially announced uUltima on the Ultima Dragons Internet Chapter (UDIC) Facebook group and have posted a small video showing the current (as of yesterday afternoon/evening anyway) build of the game running. I have also officially rejoined the UDIC under the name "Neocron Dragon".
All in all, not a bad 24 hours... and I still have today to work on the project some more. =)
